Christmas Celebration 2008
On December 17th in Nampa and the 20th in Boise, Boise Rescue Mission served thousands of hot Christmas dinners to hungry families and individuals.  2,540 children received toys for Christmas, and several hundred families took home food boxes full of healthy, good food for their own Christmas!  It was a wonderful time of sharing and giving, and we want to thank all of the volunteers and donors who made these events possible!

Great Thanksgiving Banquet 2008
November 26th and 27th saw hundreds of families and individuals at the Mission’s doors, needing a hot Thanksgiving meal.  With the help of this community, over 3,597 meals were provided, and 1,450 food boxes and 2,200 coats were given to those in need!  Volunteers gave their time to serve at the Banquet itself and with food sorting, setup, cleanup and much more.  Governor Butch Otter and First Lady Lori Otter came to the River of Life Mission on November 26th to help serve lunch, and John Duane and Chris Kelly broadcast right from the River!  Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make the Banquet a huge success!
